About Al
The joys of food are endless. This blog is about serious food seeking, taste combinations and the pleasure that these bring.

Cooking's in my blood
My grandmother's husband grew veggies and had chooks in the backyard and I can still taste those fabulous tomatoes and see the orange yolks of those eggs. Growing my veggies even enthralled me as I quickly connected the taste of freshly grown food to cooking fabulous food.

When my mum went back to work, I was preparing dinner for six people when I got home from school at 13. And it's progressed steadily from there ever since.
This modern age provides the perfect platform for a food lover like me. Used to be that you could really only pass on your recipes and cooking tips via handwritten notes that your daughter may have kept. Or, if you were really good, publish a cookbook. Now, I can photograph a dish, post it on Facebook or Instagram and my creative juices are satisfied.
I really hope my recipes are enjoyed by people, too. A sort of community service? Feel free to contact me about any of my recipes. I would love to discuss my creations and help anyone who needs advice.
